Dubstep has been my #1 genre for the past 2 years now so when ever something BIG gets released it keeps this interest alive. Channels like UKF have done great stuff for dubstep, showing a wide range of the genre while also getting early releases of massive songs by major players in the game. The problem with UKF now is that as they are so big and well known, more emphasis is put into pleasing their audience; which is fair enough, but with this wanting to please attitude, a lot of the new tracks which are being released sound pretty damn similiar. With this lack of variety, dubstep can start to get a bit stagnent.
Luckily though, unknown artists are still breaking through and coming up on their own through other channels on youtube or soundcloud. One of these artists was found by a friend of mine.
Schoolboy is making some heavy tunes. The EP called 'The Science Project' has some tracks which I am loving at the moment. The 2 which stand out for me are 'Zombies Ate My Neighbours' and 'The Science Project'. See what you think.
Enjoy
